April J. Hitzelberger

April Hitzelberger is an Associate at Waranch & Brown, LLC. Ms. Hitzelberger graduated summa cum laude from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She earned her law degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in May 2005. During law school, Ms. Hitzelberger was a member of the National Moot Court Team and served as an Articles Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy. She was elected to the Order of the Barristers for her work in advocacy.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Hitzelberger clerked for the Honorable Vicki Ballou-Watts of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. She is currently a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association, the MD-DC Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the Baltimore Women's Bar Association Executive Committee. Additionally, Ms. Hitzelberger is a member of the Maryland Defense Counsel, for which she co-authored a publication in the Winter 2009 edition of The Defense Line entitled, “Challenging Plaintiff’s Causation Expert.”
